MC – 4/16/2018 – Fade Out

Our intent for this theme was to include as many songs (new and old) that feature a fade out. Contributors provided what they could that could possibly fit this theme. Some took the theme literally (some type of fade out near the end of the track), some became creative and some, well, provided what they were into at the moment without really paying attention to the theme at all. Whoopsie daisy.

This theme was inspired by one of our favorite YouTube channels and this video specifically:

MC – 4/2/2018 – Beach Party

For this playlist theme I may have gotten a little selfish. The theme was picked to include songs you’d enjoy listening to with friends while hanging out on the beach (really vague, the contributors said so themselves.) The intention was to enjoy these tracks during a trip to the Washington Coast that just so coincided with my birthday. As one should come to expect, April, in Washington isn’t the most ideal time to spend a weekend on the coast. We ended up renting a “dope ass house” on Lake Chelan instead, then added a lot of these tracks to one of our most played (and longest, and I mean longest) playlist ever created by MC contributors.

There’s so much music it lasted the entire weekend which was spent either playing the game salad bowl (you’ll have to google it) or sitting in a hot tub. Please enjoy this 14 hour and 53 minute playlist if you dare. Disclaimer: there’s a lot of music and it’s all over the damn place.

MC – 3/19/2018 – Shred

For a second time in the reincarnation of our updated Music Club we visit another theme. The theme for this playlist involves nothing more essential to rock music than the guitar. Our contributors provided some of their favorite old a new tracks that feature their favorite guitar tones and/or solos.

MC – 3/5/2018 – Samples

We finally revisited a themed Music Club for this playlist. The songs published fit into the theme as defined by the contributor. Yes the theme as it clearly states is Samples, and not like those you might’ve enjoyed with your parents as child in the grocery store (unless you got your groceries from a DJ’s record collection). Some songs may include samples and some songs are those that were sampled. The decision was at the discretion of the contributor who shared them.

MC – 2018 – 1/22/2018

Welcome back. After a brief (eh-hem!), okay not so brief hiatus we are back in 2018 to share some of our favorite new and old music tracks. We changed our medium of sharing music keeping it strictly millennial, you know, through a messenger service of course! So many of our most passionate contributors to Music Club (including our OG founder, praise be) moved to the East Coast. Time to reinvent and revamp Music Club. Here’s our first playlist of 2018 – no theme and no shame. We’re back baby!
